Police can now release the name of the man who died following a crash on Gardiners Road, Ashburton, on Saturday 15 October.
He was Jarrod Daniel Karl, 23, of Tauranga.
Police extend their condolences to his family and friends.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
