NZ police release name over Karori homicide investigation

Police advise they have named a victim in error.

The 52-year-old woman named in the previous release has name suppression.

Any publication of this name will need to be removed immediately.

Police can now name the woman who died in Lemnos Avenue, Karori, on Friday 5 April.

Police extend their condolences to her family and friends at this tragic time. Support and welfare is being provided by Police and Victim Support.

A 12-year-old girl remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A 30-year-old man appeared in Wellington District Court yesterday charged with murder.
