New carpet at the Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre will be installed in coming weeks after the project was fast forwarded into the current year's budget.
Wagga City Council approved the project at its 25 May Ordinary Meeting allowing for the replacement of the Flotex Flooring at the facility's entrance, office and pool hall.
Due to the Oasis currently being closed, there is an opportunity to have the carpet replaced now to avoid major disruptions when the complex is reopened.
The current carpet is seven years old, in poor condition, and will be replaced with a commercial grade carpet that is durable, hardwearing, stain resistant and designed for high traffic areas.
