Special Crime Squad detectives are investigating a serious assault that occurred on Sunday 26 November 2023 in O'Connor.
About 7.15pm, a man (driver) and a female passenger were travelling in a white, 2014 model Toyota Prado along Stockdale Road heading towards Hamilton Hill, when the driver started to assault the woman.
The 51-year-old woman managed to exit the vehicle at the intersection of Stockdale and Peel Roads in O'Connor. The man followed her and further assaulted her at the side of the road before he got back into the Toyota Prado and drove off.
The woman managed to flag down a passing motorist who stopped and assisted her. The woman sustained serious injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to hospital for medical treatment.
