October is Mental Health Month, and Campaspe Shire Council in conjunction with Campaspe Murray Mental Health and Wellbeing Network are promoting a range of events that aim to educate and support community members as well as raise awareness about the importance of mental health.

Campaspe Shire Deputy Mayor, Cr Jess Mitchell said helping to improve community mental health was a priority for Council.

"Council recognises that mental health is an issue that touches the lives of many individuals and families across Australia — including right here in our own community – so we're encouraging community members to reach out and connect with the groups and the supports they need," she said.
