Officer Charged, Bailed to Appear in Darwin Court

The Northern Territory Police Force has charged a probationary constable with weapon offences in Darwin.

On Wednesday morning, the 23-year-old non-operational probationary constable was observed by other officers carrying an imitation Glock handgun at the Darwin Police Station.

It is believed the weapon was 3D printed.

Police launched an investigation and searched the officer's residence, seizing a second 3D printed imitation Glock handgun and a 3D printer.

The officer was arrested and has since been charged with:

  • 2 x Manufacture and possess a prohibited weapon

He was granted bail to appear in Darwin Local Court on 27 October 2026.

The officer has been suspended with pay while investigations remain ongoing.
