Officer charged - Northern Region 20 January

A police officer has been charged following an investigation in the state's north.

In November 2022, an investigation was commenced into reports of a domestic-related incident.

Following inquiries, a 38-year-old man was issued a Court Attendance Notice for common assault (domestic) and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (domestic) on Wednesday (18 January 2023).

The senior constable – who is attached to a command in the Northern Region – is due to appear at Toronto Local Court on Tuesday 7 March 2023.

The officer's employment status is under review.
