Officer Injured, Scenic Rim

A police officer has sustained leg injuries after being hit by a car at Allenview last night, February 23.

The male constable was responding to another matter when he saw several vehicles on Kilmoylar Road and Undullah Road at approximately 10.30pm.

The officer approached a man seen marshalling vehicles with a traffic wand and was subsequently struck by a grey Ford sedan, falling onto its bonnet and off its side onto the ground.

He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Support services are being provided to the officer, and investigations into locating the vehicle involved in the incident are ongoing.
