Officer Stable After Stabbing At Camden

A police officer is in a stable condition after he was allegedly stabbed in Sydney's southwest this afternoon.

About 5.20pm (Friday 7 November 2025), police were called to a home on Werombi Road, Grasmere, following reports a person had allegedly breached an apprehended violence order.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command attended and attempted to arrest a 20-year-old man; however, during the arrest the man allegedly threw a spear at officers before stabbing a 23-year-old police officer in the leg.

Police tasered the 20-year-old before arresting him and taking the man to Narellan Police Station.

The officer – a probationary constable – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police have established a crime scene with officers seizing a knife, hatchet and spear for forensic examination.

Camden detectives have commenced an investigation into the incident.
