Old Bar Library Upgrade

MidCoast Council

Upgrade works at the Old Bar Community Library will begin next week, delivering a refreshed and improved space for the community over the coming months.

The refurbishment project will include new flooring, upgraded furniture, technology upgrades, security and access improvements.

Works will take place progressively from late-May through to late August 2026. To allow some works to be completed safely, the library will close periodically throughout the project.

The first temporary closure will occur on Wednesday 28 May while flooring replacement works are carried out. Additional closure dates will be communicated to the community as works progress.

Community members are encouraged to check for updates on temporary closures on the MidCoast Council Libraries social media channels and website: https://library.midcoast.nsw.gov.au
