On-farm Action At Off Farm Events Across State

Agriculture Victoria is supporting farmers through drought with practical events, both in-person and online.

Agriculture Victoria Program Manager Aimee McCutcheon said having access to specialists and sharing challenges and approaches with other farmers at a workshop, field day or farm walk is incredibly valuable.

'Every farm is different, and we have a range of events to deliver the professional business and technical advice our farmers need right now.

'The events give producers the chance to discuss topical drought management and fire recovery issues and opportunities and connect with like-minded farmers.

'Events are being held across the state covering topics like succession planning, seasonal outlooks, farm finances, irrigation and red meat marketing and selling.

'It's important that farmers know that support is available to help with the complex and difficult decisions,' Ms McCutcheon said.
