One arrested after Prospect break-in

One suspect was arrested and investigations continue to identify a second suspect after a break-in at Prospect overnight.

The occupant of a house in Stuart Road, Prospect called police just before 2am on Thursday 19 January after seeing two trespassers in her back yard.

It will be alleged the suspects broke into a rear shed.

Patrols arrived with Police Dog Stoic within minutes and cordoned off the area.

One suspect was located hiding in a rear yard of a house on Stuart Road. Officers also located a discarded balaclava and gloves nearby.

The 19-year-old Pennington man was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, going equipped and unlawfully on premises. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 21 March.

PolAir was requested to assist search the area, however, one suspect managed to escape the cordon and investigations are continuing to identify and locate him.

Crime scene investigators will attend and examine the scene in daylight this morning.
