One dead as truck collision closes Picton Road in Wilton

One person is dead and another has been airlifted to hospital after two trucks collided at Wilton this morning, NSW Police say.

The crash happened about 3.40am (Wednesday 14 November 2018), on Picton Road near Macarthur Drive when a table-top truck and a car carrier crashed.

The driver of the pantech died at the scene while the driver of the car carrier was trapped within the wreckage for about 90 minutes before being released.

He has now been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition with multiple injuries.

It’s expected Picton Road will be closed for some hours while the scene is examined and the wreckage removed.
