One suspect arrested over car park robbery, South Australia

One man was arrested and police are seeking a second suspect after a robbery in a shopping centre car park this afternoon.

It will be alleged just before 3pm on Friday 5 February, two people approached a blue Holden Commodore sedan in the underground car park of Parabanks Shopping Centre. A man opened the driver's door and stole the car keys, while the second suspect, unseen by the victim, approached the passenger side of the car and took the victim's handbag.

The victim, a woman aged in her 30s, was not physically injured during the robbery.

Patrols responded quickly and arrested a 40-year-old Salisbury North man nearby. He was charged with aggravated robbery and carry offensive weapon and bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 31 March.
