Residents and sporting organisations still have the chance to share their thoughts on the future of Wagga Wagga's Exhibition Centre, located on the corner of Kooringal Road and Copland Street; the public submissions are open until Monday 20 October 2025.
Council launched the community consultation phase on 22 September as part of the process to develop a Masterplan for the Exhibition Centre precinct to guide the future development of this important sporting and events hub.
The Exhibition Centre comprises the Wagga Wagga's Multi-Purpose Stadium (MPS), netball courts, Geohex Park, Parramore Park, and rodeo ground.
Council's Recreation Coordinator Josh Walsh has been pleased to see strong feedback through the online submissions on Council's Have Your Say Wagga Wagga website.
"We want to say 'thank you' to everyone who has already taken the time to get involved in this consultation process and we encourage those who haven't voiced their ideas yet to provide their input over the coming week," Mr Walsh said.
"This is your opportunity to tell us what you like or value about the Exhibition Centre, what improvements you think could be made, and what you would like to see included in this high-quality sporting, community and entertainment space into the future.
"Your feedback will play a vital role in helping to shape the development of the concept Masterplan for the precinct, so get involved and make a submission."
The Exhibition Centre precinct is home to many local sporting competitions, and events such as the Wagga Wagga Rodeo.

It has also hosted major events at a regional, state and national level, including Canberra Raiders NRL/W games, GIANTS Netball matches and the ACT Brumbies Super 7s.
In addition to the existing sporting and multi-purpose facilities, it also comprises of two open spaces - to the east of the existing developed infrastructure.
