OPCW Director-General meets Poland's Foreign Minister in Warsaw

The Director-General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ambassador Fernando Arias, met on 25 May with the Foreign Minister of Poland, H.E. Mr Zbigniew Rau, and the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology of Poland, Mr Grzegorz Piechowiak. The meetings took place in Warsaw, Poland.

The officials discussed the prevention of the re-emergence of chemical weapons in the current international security situation and the importance of the role of OPCW and its Member States. The role of National Authorities in the implementation of the Convention and in preventing the proliferation of toxic chemicals was also discussed.
