More than 40 local business professionals attended Chapter 1 of the Griffith Business Playbook, a new practical business education series delivered in partnership with Griffith City Council, Griffith Business Chamber and Griffith Women in Business.
The first session focused on brand clarity as a driver of sustainable business growth, reframing brand as a system that builds trust, pricing power and conversion rather than just visual identity.
Guest presenter Nehma challenged attendees to rethink their approach to marketing and growth, highlighting the importance of focus and structure in business strategy.
"A wide audience doesn't grow a business. A clear one does. Random effort creates random results. Structured effort creates predictable growth," Nehma said.
Participants learned that unclear brand identity often leads to weak messaging, price competition and inconsistent leads. Through practical frameworks and activities, business owners were guided to clearly articulate who they serve, the value they deliver and how trust is built before the sales conversation begins.
Griffith City Council Economic Development Coordinator Karly Sivewright thanked local businesses for their strong turnout and engagement.
"Thank you to the local businesses that attended and set aside their valuable time to broaden their knowledge. Key takeaways from Nehma's presentation was that being authentic, consistent and clear in your messaging is paramount in your business's brand strategy," Mrs Sivewright said.
The Griffith Business Playbook will continue with Chapter 2 – Demystifying Your Numbers, designed to help business owners better understand financial reports with confidence.
