OVPR Announces New Round of REP-Funded Projects

The UConn Office of the Vice President for Research has funded 40 new projects in the 2021 funding cycle for the Research Excellence Program.

The UConn Office of the Vice President for Research has funded 40 new projects in the 2021 funding cycle for the Research Excellence Program (REP). Recipients represent dozens of departments in engineering, fine arts, medicine, education, agriculture, and law.

These awards provide researchers with seed funding to pursue innovative research, scholarship, and creative projects. These projects have strong potential of attracting external funding and other prestigious achievements in their disciplines. Many of these projects involve multiple PIs and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The OVPR awarded a total of $1.5 million with individual awards ranging from $3,000 to $85,000.
