An 18-year-old man's car has been impounded after he was caught speeding in Roxburgh Park this morning.
Fawkner Highway Patrol officers came across the Mitsubishi allegedly travelling at 128 km/hr in a 60km/hr residential area about 11.45am.
They quickly intercepted the vehicle and discovered that the P-Plater was behind the wheel of his mother's vehicle.
Officers impounded the car, which will cost him $999.52 to have released in 30 days time.
The man from Craigieburn will also be charged on summons with traffic offences.
