P1 provisional driver charged with drink-driving after crash - Concord

A P1 provisional driver has been charged with drink-driving following a crash in Sydney's west overnight.

Just before 10.30pm (Monday 2 January 2023), emergency services were called to Brays Road, Concord, following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers from Burwood Police Area Command located the driver, a 20-year-old man, uninjured.

The man, who holds a P1 provisional licence, underwent a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Burwood Police Station to undergo a breath analysis test, which allegedly returned a reading of 0.157.

The Breakfast Point man was charged with drive with high-range PCA and is due to appear before Burwood Local Court on Tuesday 17 January 2023.

His licence was also suspended.
