Parkfield bushfire - information sought

Arson Squad Investigators in conjunction with Bunbury Detectives are investigating a bushfire that occurred in Parkfield (Shire of Harvey) on Monday, 20 January 2020.

It is believed the fire started around 5.25pm in bushland on Treasure Road.

The fire burnt through 200 hectares of Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions bushland and was fought by Parks and Wildlife Service, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service firefighters.

The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious. Anyone with information regarding this fire or who saw any suspicious people, or vehicles, in the vicinity of the fire, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Callers may remain anonymous if they wish.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
