Parliament resumes

JOINT STATEMENT

Queensland Parliament will resume on Thursday.

Leader of the House Yvette D'Ath said the brief sitting from 9.30am will be to enable the National Day of Mourning on September 22.

The Prime Minister announced the holiday on Sunday but requires state legislation to be enacted.

Industrial Relations Minister Grace Grace said arrangements will be similar to the Australia Day public holiday with supermarkets, cafes and retail venues able to open.
