Paula Dwyer appointed to Allianz Australia Board

Mr John Curtis, Chairman of Allianz Australia Limited, today announced the appointment of Ms Paula Dwyer to the Allianz Australia Board.

Ms Dwyer brings to Allianz extensive experience in the public and private sectors across a range of regulated industries, including insurance and banking. A former member of the ASIC External Advisory Board and Director of Suncorp and RACV, Ms Dwyer has strong industry knowledge and expertise in the areas of governance, risk and compliance.

Ms Dwyer is a Chartered Accountant with a strong executive career, holding senior positions in investment management and investment banking, including Ord Minnett (now JP Morgan) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), and a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Allianz Australia Chairman John Curtis welcomed the appointment and congratulated Ms Dwyer on her appointment to the Board.

"We conducted an extensive search for someone who would further strengthen our Board's breadth of talent and background," Mr Curtis said.

Ms Dwyer said she was delighted to be joining the board at Allianz Australia.
