Drivers parking on City of Perth streets can now pay for their bay using the EasyPark App.
This marks the second stage of the City's rollout of the EasyPark App, which was launched in the City's 17 non-boom gated CPP car parks on 1 July.
Visitors, workers and residents can now pay for their parking with the phone app in more than 9,000 City of Perth car bays.
Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said the uptake of the EasyPark App since July has been stronger than expected, and the City's worked hard behind-the-scenes to bring stage 2 of the rollout forward.
"The first stage of this rollout has been such a huge success for drivers using the app in the relevant CPP car parks," Mr Zempilas said.
"We're delighted to be able to offer the same user-friendly experience to drivers parking on the streets of Perth.
"Not only is it easier than having to find and walk to the nearest parking meter to pay for your bay, but the app also ensures you only pay for the time you use."
EasyPark App users will still be required to check the parking signage for their selected bay to ensure they're following the rules, before they begin their parking session.
The app charges an additional service fee for users, with rates varying depending on whether you're a casual user or on a business account. This service fee goes to EasyPark, not the City of Perth.
"While we're thrilled to offer this app as a convenient option for drivers, it's not a requirement. Drivers who want to continue paying for their parking with cash or card can still do that. "
