A man in his 40s sustained critical injuries after he was struck by a vehicle at Deception Bay last night (September 18), Queensland Police say.
Preliminary information indicates that shortly before 7pm the man was walking on Deception Bay Road near the intersection with Tallagon Court, when a vehicle travelling west along Deception Bay Road struck him.
The man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man from Stafford was not injured.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
