Motorists, bus passengers, pedestrians and cyclists should plan for road closures and traffic changes in Wallan from Monday 14 September to Monday 5 October.
The changes are part of the Victorian Government's upgrade of the Northern Highway and Watson Street intersection, delivered through Big Build Roads. Mitchell Shire Council is sharing the information to help the community plan ahead.
What's happening?
Big Build Roads is upgrading the Northern Highway and Watson Street intersection to improve safety and traffic flow.
During the September school holidays, crews will construct the eastern side of the new intersection. This will require the temporary closure of part of Watson Street and other changes to traffic, parking and public transport.
When is Watson Street closed?
Watson Street will close between Northern Highway/High Street and Windham Street from 7pm Friday 18 September to 5.30am Monday 5 October. Some overnight closures will also apply either side of those dates.
