Pedestrian killed in crash, NSW

A report will be prepared for the Coroner after the death of a man in a pedestrian crash at Hornsby Heights this morning.

About 7am today, a 51-year-old man was outside his property on Galston Road, Hornsby Heights, when he was struck by a Toyota sedan which left the road.

Nearby police, who were in attendance for an unrelated matter, attempted to revive the man but he died at the scene.

The male driver of the Toyota, also aged 51, was uninjured. He was taken to Hornsby Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit officers are conducting inquiries into the incident, NSW Police say.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
