Pedestrian Strike - Coolalinga 12 September

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a pedestrian strike that occurred in Coolalinga yesterday evening.

Around 6:45pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that a 71-year-old male had been struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the Stuart Highway in Coolalinga. Police believe the male was struck in the outbound lanes.

The male was allegedly struck by a boat trailer being towed by an unknown vehicle, and it is likely that the occupants of the vehicle were unaware of the collision.

The male suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.

Police from Territory Road Policing are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and would like to speak with anyone who may have assisted the male immediately afterwards, or who may have witnessed the incident.
