Pedestrian struck and killed in Lang Lang

Police are currently investigating after a car struck a pedestrian in Lang Lang last night (21 December), Victoria Police say.

It is believed a man was walking on the South Gippsland Highway near the intersection of Caldermeade Road when he was struck by a vehicle about 10.30pm.

The driver of the black Ford Mondeo a 22-year-old man stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

The yet to be identified male pedestrian died at the scene.

The investigation into the exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
