As Penn State Football opens its Big Ten Conference schedule this week, fans watching from home can view a new TV commercial that highlights the positive impact Big Ten universities make beyond the playing field.
The commercial, titled "We Are Here," will air alongside the conference's fan-favorite "Maps" ad. The new spot focuses on how Big Ten universities - including Penn State - make America healthier, safer and more prosperous through everything from discovering new medical treatments to developing healthier foods to driving economic growth.
"We Are Here" was developed by a creative team made up of staff from Big Ten member universities, with two members of Penn State's Office of Strategic Communications serving as co-creative director and motion designer. It is the first in a planned series of three commercials, which over the course of the series will feature footage from all 18 Big Ten universities.
