Permanent Adjudicator appointed

Mike McMahon has been confirmed as the new Independent Adjudicator for the Adjudicator's Office.

Mike has been the Adjudicator's Office Head of Office since September 2020. Prior to that, he was an ombudsman at the Financial Ombudsman Service. Mike's experience straddles both operational leadership and complex dispute resolution.

Mike will be starting his new role on Friday 1st September and recruitment to backfill his role as Head of Office will start in due course.

Jim Harra, First Permanent Secretary and Chief Executive of HM Revenue and Customs, said:
