About 6:15pm, a Perth Transit Authority (PTA) bus turning right from Milligan Street into Wellington Street, struck a man who was crossing Wellington Street.
The pedestrian, a 45-year-old man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
The bus driver, a 37-year-old man, was not injured and is assisting police with the investigation.
