- Tournament scheduled to take place over two days at HBF Park in 2026-28
- Event attracts 16 of the world's top rugby nations in carnival-like atmosphere for fans
- Supports Cook Government's commitment to diversify the economy so it remains strongest in the nation
Perth has secured the Australian-exclusive rights to host the HSBC SVNS rugby tournament for another three years, following its major success over the past two years in Western Australia.
Supported by the Cook Government through Tourism WA since 2024, HSBC SVNS 2026 will take place from 7-8 February at HBF Park, with tickets now on sale.
With sellout crowds on the final day of both Perth 2024 and 2025 events, HSBC SVNS is expected to once again draw thousands of out-of-state visitors to WA, injecting millions of dollars in visitor spend into the State's economy, boosting local business and jobs.
HSBC SVNS builds on the Cook Government's vision to deliver an always on, year-round calendar of events amid Australia's golden decade of rugby, which has seen Perth secure rugby events such as the British and Irish Lions tour and the Bledisloe Cup.
Rugby has a strong following in many of WA's key international inbound tourism markets including China, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and SVNS prides itself on creating a carnival-like atmosphere for spectators.
HSBC SVNS attracts 16 of the world's top rugby nations to play an alternative rugby union format which involves seven players competing in seven-minute halves in a tournament format with round robin and knockout matches.
The fan festival remains a core attraction for the event, including live entertainment, family friendly activities, SVNS inspired competitions, and local food and beverage options.
The tournament will also be broadcast to a massive global audience, further pushing WA into the spotlight as a top tier international sporting event host.
