Perth / Mount Lawley Evade Police Incident

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking information regarding a serious crash in Mount Lawley today, Sunday 31 December 2023, which occurred after a vehicle failed to stop for police.
About 2:10am, police on patrol attempted to stop a white Toyota Camry sedan being driven near the intersection of St Georges Terrace and Victoria Avenue in Perth. The vehicle failed to stop, and continued along Victoria Square, which becomes Lord Street.
A short time later the vehicle crashed near the intersection of Lord Street, Walcott Street and Guildford Road, in Mount Lawley. At the time of the crash there were three people in the vehicle, being the 22-year-old male driver, and male passengers aged 19 and 21.
St John WA and Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel attended the scene.
The driver received serious injuries in the crash, and remains in Royal Perth Hospital. The two passengers received less serious injuries.
