The push for 24-hour policing for Gunnedah is continuing with a petition ready to the lodged in the NSW Parliament.

Nationals Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson will be taking the voice of the Gunnedah community to the parliament via an online and a paper petition.

"The Gunnedah community have had enough of serious incidents of crime robbing them of the right to feel safe in their homes," Mr Anderson said.

"The Gunnedah Police Station was upgraded to allow for growth and now is the time to deliver the police resources Gunnedah needs.

"An online petition with 1,846 signatures was lodged earlier this year and now there is a further push with a 324-signature paper petition from Gunnedah businesses.

"This petition demands that the Labor Government allocate the funds and resources required to ensure a 24-police presence at Gunnedah Police Station.

"In addition to more police, I also want to see police drones operating in the area to help track offenders and keep the community safe.

"The police drones support boots on the ground by giving police real-time information on offenders, tracking stolen cars, and assist in search and rescue operations.

"It's time for the Labor Government to step up and provide Gunnedah the resources they are demanding and that means a 24-hour station."
