The Crisafulli Government has welcomed Dyno Nobel's announcement of a binding agreement to sell Phosphate Hill, with the deal reflecting renewed confidence in North-West Queensland.
The deal marks an important step toward securing ongoing operations at Phosphate Hill and supporting the 500 hardworking Queenslanders whose livelihoods directly depend on the site, as well as the thousands of other jobs in secondary businesses that rely on its operation.
It comes after the Crisafulli Government delivered a support package for the Mount Isa Copper Smelter in October last year, protecting hundreds of jobs, delivering certainty to regional communities and restoring investment confidence.

Minister for Natural Resources and Mines Dale Last said the Crisafulli Government was delivering a better lifestyle through a stronger economy, by protecting regional jobs and backing Queensland's industrial capabilities.
"When the Crisafulli Government stepped in to deliver a future for the Mount Isa Copper Smelter and Townsville Refinery, we sent a clear message that this Government backs North and North-West Queensland, backs industry and backs the hardworking Queenslanders who rely on those industrial capabilities," Minister Last said.
"After Labor ignored the mounting challenges in North and North-West Queensland during their decade of decline, the Crisafulli Government has delivered the confidence needed for investment and continuity at Phosphate Hill, delivering a pathway forward for workers, suppliers, contractors and local businesses across the region.
"Recent geopolitical events have also reinforced the importance of protecting Queensland's sovereign fertiliser manufacturing capability. These assets are too important to our agricultural sector, our supply chains and our economic security to take for granted."
