Are you looking for a new sport to try this summer? Or maybe you want to get outside and enjoy some summer weather? How about trying some of the below sport and recreation activities available right here in Manningham!

Cycling

Manningham Bicycle Users Group (BUG) organise regular group rides for its members. rides take place on Saturdays and Wednesday mornings, with occasional weekend overnight stays. The rides are generally classed as Easy or Medium with a variety of distances, with locations accessible for Manningham residents. Rides include schedule coffee breaks to provide an opportunity for social connection.

Archery

Manningham has it's very own archery club! Yarra Bowmen's is a relaxed and friendly Archery club in Bulleen. The club encourages people to practise and enjoy target archery on a recreational or competitive level, all ages and genders are welcome.

Disc Golf

Disc Golf, also known as Frisbee Golf, is an outdoor, fun and free activity offered right here in Manningham at Ruffey Lake Park. Like traditional golf, disc golf involves participants throwing a disc into an elevated metal basket in the least number of throws. Melbourne Disc Golf Club is our local club or, otherwise disc's can be hired from Manningham libraries, all you need is a library card. The course is free to use all year round.

Aeromodellers

Aeromodelling offers something different in recreational activity. Aeromodelling, and in particularly Radio-Controlled Aeromodelling, is a fast-growing sport covering a wide range of types of aircrafts, flying and aircraft building. Doncaster Aeromodellers Club cater for the youngest juniors to the most experiences seniors and everyone in between.

Bushwalking

Manningham is surrounded by beautiful bushland and walking trails and the friendly Koonung Bushwalking club are looking for people to join them on their bushwalking events! The club holds walking activities in Manningham and the surrounding areas on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, plus additional social events each month. The walks cater for all levels of fitness and abilities.
