Ballina Shire Council will temporarily turn off water to properties along North Creek Road from 9am to 3pm on Thursday 15 September 2022.
This work is essential and is part of Council's ongoing efforts to repair ageing water infrastructure and conserve water. This work involves completing two water main repairs which have been identified through Council's recent Leak Detection Program. Once complete, these repairs will help Council save a significant amount of precious water.
This water outage will impact properties some properties on North Creek Road, Libby Lane, Tara Downs, Ridgeview Cres, Elevations Dr, Hutley Dr, Aspects Dr, Greenview Pl and McLeans St.
Impacted residents have been notified via a letterbox drop.
Tips for preparing for the temporary water outage:
- You may wish to store water in preparation for the interruption.
- When your water returns, it may be discoloured. This is due to sediment. Please run the tap until your water runs clear.
- Milky water is caused by small air bubbles. Do not be alarmed. This is not harmful, and will settle after a short period.
- Please leave your taps off during the interruption as water may return at any time.
