Planning & Development Committee recommends adoption of Toowoomba Regional Planning Scheme Review report

Toowoomba Regional Council's (TRC) Planning and Development Committee today recommended the adoption of the final report into the review of the Toowoomba Regional Planning Scheme.

The Committee recommendation will be considered for adoption at next Tuesday's (December 17) December Ordinary Meeting of Council.

TRC Planning and Development Committee chair Cr Chris Tait said the Committee's recommendations would allow Council to implement the review's findings and start the ball rolling on preparations for a new planning scheme.

Cr Tait said the Planning Scheme identified 30 key issues to be addressed, which would be best dealt with by preparing a new planning scheme, as opposed to amending the current planning scheme.
