Plastic Free July is a global movement empowering millions of people to take action on plastic pollution. The City of Ryde encourages our community to reflect on everyday habits and try to make a few simple changes to reduce single‑use plastics. Every small swap helps prevent plastic waste from entering our environment and going into landfill. By finding practical ways to cut waste at home, at work and on the go, we can help reduce our plastic footprint, protect our waterways, and support community health.
Here are some ideas on how you can get started this Plastic Free July:
- Attend Council's Beeswax Wrap Making Workshop on 4 July
- Join the Plastic Free Pledge with hundreds of others refusing single-use plastics
- Try out some simple plastic-free ideas using the '31 Days of Plastic Free July' calendar
