PMHC Rolls Out New Payment Platform

Port Macquarie-Hastings

Port Macquarie Hastings Council (PMHC) has launched Payble, a new payment platform that gives ratepayers more flexibility and control over their rates and water payments.

Payble allows ratepayers to arrange and manage their own payment schedules by splitting the amount due into weekly, fortnightly or monthly payments, or making a one-off payment on or before the due date.

It is available 24/7, provides real-time balance updates, and enables users to receive SMS or email notifications about payment updates and reminders.

The property verification feature also helps prevent errors and misdirected payments, and the smart scheduled payments help users avoid overdraft by automatically rescheduling a retry if a payment does not go through initially.

"The launch of Payble is part of our commitment to enhance efficiency and customer experience," Chief Finance Officer Rod Archer said.

"It will complement our existing payment options. The aim is to provide additional flexibility and support for those who may benefit from payment plans, reminders, and other tools to help manage their bills.

"When it comes to managing finances, we understand that one size does not fit all. This modern payment solution gives our community more choice and control over how and when they pay, offering improved flexibility and transparency around their rates and water bills."

Any ratepayer with a mobile phone number or an email address can now sign up to Payble by scanning the QR code in their rates notice, typing pay.pmhc.nsw.gov.au on a mobile phone or computer browser, or by going to the PMHC website and selecting Pay Online on the homepage.
