Police Address Fatal Crash in North Maclean

A woman has died following a serious traffic incident involving a utility vehicle and a pedestrian in North Maclean on 25 March.

Initial investigations indicate around 11.40am, a pedestrian was walking along Crowson Lane when she was struck by an item that had fallen from a moving vehicle.

The pedestrian, a 58-year-old woman, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries but passed away today, 2 April.

The vehicle did not stop at the scene; however, the Toyota Landcruiser has since been located, and the driver is assisting police with their inquiries.

The Forensic Crash Unit, who are investigating the incident, are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.

Investigations remain ongoing.
