Police appeal for dash cam footage after Boronia incident

Croydon Divisional Tasking Unit officers are appealing for dash cam footage after a vehicle was spotted driving erratically through Boronia yesterday.

Police noticed a black Mitsubishi Outlander, which had suspected cloned number plates 1HT 1VG, travelling north along Hastings Avenue about 12.45pm on 23 December.

The vehicle continued driving west along Boronia Road, where police attempted to intercept it, before speeding away.

It continued through the intersection of Boronia and Dorset roads, driving along the wrong side of the road among oncoming traffic and forcing other vehicles to swerve out the way.

No collisions or injuries were reported.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on Cardiff Street.

No arrests have yet been made and the investigation remains ongoing.

Police are appealing for anyone with information, who witnessed the incident or who may have dash cam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
