Police appeal for info over Wollongong death

Police have released the name and the image of a man found dead mid-April in the common laundry of a unit block near Wollongong.

A post mortem revealed Mark Dower, 56, whose decomposing body was found in the unit block in Crana Place, Mangerton on April 16, died as a result of injuries to his body, said police.

Wollongong Detectives established Strike Force Allawoona to investigate the matter, assisted by investigators from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

As inquiries into Dower’s death continue, detectives released new details in the hope members of the public can provide assistance to the homicide investigation.
