Police appeal for information for missing man Dean Jenkins

Missing Persons Squad detectives are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing 33-year-old Swan Hill man Dean Jenkins, Victoria Police say.

Dean was last seen at a service station on Campbell Street in Swan Hill with a male friend about 11.20pm on Tuesday 23 August last year.

It is believed they were driving a maroon 1994 Holden Commodore sedan with a black bonnet, 16 inch mag wheels and Queensland registration plates 783 LWS which they were filling up with fuel.

Police and Dean’s family hold concerns for his welfare as it is out of character for him not to be in touch and also due to the length of time that he has now been missing.

Dean has associates in the Geelong, Melbourne and Bendigo areas and was reported missing to police on 15 September.

Dean is described as about 172cm tall, with a medium build and short dark hair.

Detectives have released an image of Dean and of the vehicle in the hope someone may recognise the car or know of Dean’s whereabouts.

Investigators have established that the Commodore sedan was observed bogged the following morning in Dead Horse Lane Swan Hill.

It is believed the vehicle had sustained damage to the front and was possibly moved from this location on a tandem trailer.

Anyone who sees Dean is urged to contact triple zero or contact Crime Stoppers.
