Police appeal for public help: Violent Robbery, Berrinba

Police are seeking public assistance to identify two men involved in a violent robbery in yesterday morning (September 19).

Initial investigations indicate around 3.50am, two women aged 42 and 57, were walking back to their parked car on Wayne Goss Drive when they saw two men allegedly stealing a black duffel bag from the vehicle.

The men allegedly gained entry into the blue Ford Falcon by breaking the back left window and were dressed in all black clothing with one wearing a hooded jumper.

The 42-year-old Ebbw Vale woman gave chase, when one of the men stopped and headbutted her, causing her to fall back onto the concrete.

She was transported to hospital in a serious but stable condition with a significant head injury.

The unknown offenders left the scene on foot in a southerly direction.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have dashcam vision of the area in the early hours of Monday morning is urged to contact police.
