Police appeal for witnesses to single-vehicle crash at Camden

A man has been air-lifted to hospital with critical injuries after the car he was driving crashed into a tree yesterday.

About 5.15pm (Wednesday 4 March 2020), a 68-year-old man was driving his 2004 model blue Ford utility west along Oaks Road, Thirlmere.

About 500 meters west of the intersection of Estonian Road it appears the vehicle has crossed to the incorrect side of the road and crashed into a tree.

Nearby residents came to the aid of the driver and contacted emergency services who arrived on scene minutes later.

The man was treated before being air-lifted to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam vision to come forward.
