Police appeal to find teen missing from Maitland

Police are appealing for the public's help to find a teenage boy missing from the Hunter.

Larz Drew, aged 16, was last seen at his home in East Maitland, yesterday (Tuesday 14 December 2021), after school. He told his family he was going to Greenhills to buy food but hasn't been seen since.

When the boy had not returned home by 10am today (Wednesday 15 December 2021), officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District were alerted and began an investigation.

Despite extensive inquiries, Larz has not been located. Police and his family have concerns for his welfare as he requires daily medication and does not have a mobile phone.

Larz is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 150cm-160cm tall, with a slim build, brown hair (cut in a mullet style), and blue eyes. At the time he was last seen he was wearing a Francis Greenway High School sports uniform which comprises black shorts and a black and white t-shirt (white trucks with black sleeves and black collar).
