Police appeal to locate elderly man missing from Stanhope Gardens

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney's north west.

William Pittman, aged 89, was last seen at a home at Stanhope Gardens, about just before midnight yesterday (Tuesday 20 September 2022).

When he wasn't home this morning and could not be located, officers attached to Riverstone Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries to locate him.

There are serious concerns for William's welfare as he lives with dementia.

William is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of medium build, with short grey hair.

He was last seen wearing light brown pants, a chequered shirt with a collar, and a beige cardigan.

He is known to use public transport to travel.
