Police appeal to locate girl missing from Merrylands

A geo-targeted sms will be issued with a search underway for a girl missing in Merrylands.

Aminta Bah, aged 11, was last seen in the vicinity of Rita Street, about 4.30pm today (Monday 31 October 2022).

When she could not be located, officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and a search has commenced with the assistance of the Dog Unit and PolAir.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Aminta's welfare due to her young age.

Aminta is described as being of African appearance, about 155cm tall, of slim build.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white skivvy and a head scarf.

Anyone who may have seen Aminta, or may know of her whereabouts, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
